9/14/18 New Music

I posted 110 new albums the last two weeks. I don’t have that many this week, but there are some well known names. Here we go…

New albums:  Carrie Underwood (Spinning Bottles makes the playlist), Whisperin’ Bill Anderson (CMHOF & Opry member’s 72nd album), Willie Nelson (third album this year, if you count last week’s 1975 live album), Asleep at the Wheel , Gary Morris, Terri Clark (Canadian member of the Grand Ole Opry) , Cory Morrow (album release show at Gruene Hall), Steve Forbert, Gareth Leach, Cahoots, The Hollands, River Dan, David Nail, John Reid, Caroline Keller, Troy Kaszas, Sydney Anderson, Ashton Lane, Alejandro Escovedo, Cowtown Country Club, Malcolm Holcombe, Band of Heathens, The Jaydees, Pushing Chain, Richard Thompson (album was available on NPR First Listen), Sidewalk Frank, Garrett Ford, Royce Johns, Chris Turner, Brandon Lee Adams, and Loudon Wainwright III.

There are also new songs and videos:

Loretta Lynn’s new original, Ruby’s Stool is classic Loretta humor.

Meghan Patrick’s new video: Walls Come Down video.

Better With Time is the new song from Emily Scott Robinson, whom we saw at Threadgill’s during South by Southwest.

Erin Enderlin has a new one, “These Boots.”

I mentioned the Druid City Songwriters Festival the other day in the post about Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Here’s Things That Change from festival organizer Megan McMillan.

Eric Church has a new video for Monsters. This is my favorite of his last few songs.

I watched a recent episode of the RFD-TV show Larry’s Country Diner, and Mo Pitney was the featured guest. He played a couple of songs from his next album, which sound really good, so keep an ear out for that project.
